At last, modern science has finally acknowledged the Akashic field and described it as a unified energy field, present at all and at any level of our awareness. You can read something more about it here.
What mystics and spiritual teachers have been saying for centuries is so to speak confirmed!
This field of creative energy is the matrix of everything that we know and is part of our Universe. Akasha, in Sanskrit, could be roughly translated into “primary substance”.
So, what are the Akashic Records?
The Akashic Records have been described many times as a vast library.
Think of the bigger one you’ve ever seen or been to and imagine multiplying each room by ten, or even more. Every time you get through one of those rooms and think you’re done, you notice at the end of it there’s another door… and out that door, here’s another huge room full of shelves, and books!
The thing is they’re not regular books, like history or maths or literature books, or fiction and romance. Each book you see, in fact, tells the story of every soul, from their conception to now. Each decision and thought, choice, emotion, and event, they’re all written down, or to better put it, recorded there.
That’s not so for past lives only; also present and possible future are there.
What I mean by a possible future, is that we do have a purpose and lessons to learn, like a general direction and a few themes that our lives would be about. We still decide every moment which way to go about it, but the destination does not change.
Say I want to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I have plenty of options on which way to go, of course, it might take me more or less time depending on the roads I pick and how many other places I decide to stop by and visit on my road trip.
The same goes for our lives: depending on which way we decide to take we could have totally different experiences, but we’ll reach our destination no matter what.
In the next article, I’ll tell you more about the future and the Akashic Records.
